serology

serology

seer-RO-lo-jee (‘seer’ like ‘sear’)

noun

the scientific study or diagnostic examination of blood serum, especially with regard to the response of the immune system to pathogens or introduced substances

‘The vampires might have studied serology had they not been so tempted to drink the test samples.’

variants:

serologist, serological, serologically, serum

From the internet. Adorable, no?

I’m currently reading Grey Sister by Mark Lawrence. I think I like it better than the first in the series, Red Sister – it’s more fast-paced. Or rather, less slow-paced. Still enjoyable though – I’m about to get to another badass Nona moment.
