Monday to Saturday: Word of the day

Sunday: No word. I’ll be too busy with my casual job training carrier pigeons to send inter-dimensional postcards.

So, no word today. But have a look at this postcard from the village of Poor Spelling, in Jasper Fforde’s BookWorld.

If you like comic fantasy, I would highly recommend Fforde’s adult series Thursday Next or YA series The Last Dragonslayer. Here’s a line from the latter:

I noticed that he wore sandals carved from old car tyres and a duffel coat so worn and threadbare that only the buttons remained.
